Having issues re-installing CS5.5 Creative suite

After a power failure, I had to revert to a system restore point to before I had installed CS5. I am trying to re-install from the original DVD and get a message saying there may be a pending machine restart. Please quit and restart computer. I did that several times. I still get the same message so I clicked on ignore and continue the installer starts but then get a message saying install failed.  I have even uninstalled antivirus programs thinking they may be the problem but still same issue.
