Mac is undergoing problems and will need to be factory reset. This will remove my adobe software, does this mean I will need a new product key or serial number?

If you are able to you should deactivate (Help -> Deactivate) the Adobe software before you lose the machine to it being reset.  You will still use the same serial number to activate the soiftware when you get the application(s) reinstalled.

If you need any help with activation you can contact Adobe Support directly by chat or phone.

Here is a link to a page with options to help make contact:

Hello,

sorry for accident but you can install your CS6 in the same way as before. you should/I would use a trial version and change it into a "correct" version by inserting the Serial number/Adobe ID

Good luck!
