I have a 9.2 OS on a Mac Tower with Adobe Photoshop 5.5 and Adobe PageMaker 6.5 and  a TON of  files.  My printer tanked and I cannot find a driver for a new printer.  Are these files lost or can I get them to open up on a newer printer so that they are usable again.  I have spent hours on line trying to find an answer or a printer that will work with a 9.2 OS on a MAC.  HP sent me a 3830 printer but no driver is available.  I alsdo have a brand new MAc on order.  Can I get these files over to the new Mac?  Can anyone help?

Oki Data's production printers are compatible with Mac OS 9 even in the current model.

I think You better to find an old printer that fits Classic Mac in the secondhand market.

If you can salvage files to a new Mac by some means such as network or media,
Photoshop 5.5 files can be read by modern Photoshop.

The compatibility feature from Pagemaker was provided up to eight years ago, but software that fits the current Mac is no longer on the market.

Already 13 years have passed since the Mac CPU moved to Intel, unfortunately it was too late to consider the platform transition.

You can't do anything with the original file, but it's a good idea to use Classic Mac and convert it to PDF as others have answered.

Hmm, you say the old computer is still working, just no working printer? My advice is to turn every one of your PageMaker files into a PDF, if your software can do that, and save the PDFs. Assume soon you will lose the originals, so get the PDFs off and to a place of safety, backed up.

(By the way a new Mac won't even run a year-old app!)

Your computer predates things being downloadable.

A new Mac will be nice but do you realise NONE of your apps will load, and NOTHING will read PageMaker files? Nothing at all?
