Help! Activation limit reached for CS5.5 Production Premium

Hello,

I understand that Adobe is no longer providing support for pre-cc products.  But after deactivating on my old computer, this problem persists (the 2nd device is dead and I´m unable to deactivate).

Would it be possible to at least reset activations?

Thanks!

Derek

Correct answer kglad

its not allowing me to re-activate on either computer.  the new one or the old one that has already been deactivated.  This is the message I get on both computers now.  Neither of which I´m able to activate now.

it's the old one you're working on now.  but if you can't re-activate or deactivate on that old one, you're at the end of the road with that old computer and adobe activations/deactivations.

and if you have no access to another computer with an activation, you're at the end of line ffor your cs5.5 activations.

there are various work-arounds because, on any one computer, each install will allow a 30 day trial.  and every 30 days, there are things you can do restore the trial, but none are easy.

there's no other way to deactivate other than using a device with a current action.  if that's impossible, then it's impossible to deactivate and  reset the activation limit.

btw, there are usually 2 activations allowed per license, so there are two devices with current activations.  either can be used to deactivate and allow another activation.

Thanks for the response.  I did deactivate on the 1/2 computers, but its as though that message is not being sent to the Adobe ´activation manager´.  I then click "Retry Activation. I have aleready deactivated one of my other computers." but without success.

Any tips in the event one is still able to deactivate on the other computer?

Thank you

yes, you're correct.  deactivation isn't so easy.  the big catch is, can those computers communicate the deactivation with adobe's servers.

to convey the deactivation to adobe the computer must have an updated os and default browser.
