Adobe support was elping me last night, but call got cut off. Then I contacted them today and they say there is no support for CS5... I think it was almost done... it is now showing up in folder on 2nd computer but does not work.

@rachelc71703655,

Are you certain it was Adobe who was helping you?  I ask because this seems very strange given that CS5 from 2010 is discontinued and no longer supported by Adobe.

Can you confirm that you have an actual Adobe Case Number on file for that interaction by logging-in below and scrolling down to View Support History? (See screenshot.)

Beware of fake Adobe reps who may contact you privately offering to sell you software or take control of your computer. It's a scam, run away!  Real Adobe employees will never reach out via Outlook, Yahoo, Gmail or Skype.

Hi Rachel,

Adobe Customer Service will reset your CS product activation count if needed, but that is about all the support they will provide.

When you say, "it does not work," can you give more details? Any error  or other message when you try to install? Did you google any message or the problem at all?

What operating system and version? CS5/CS6 will not work on macOS Catalina or newer, due to changes Apple made. With Windows, you might have a chance.

You can always try these steps:

1. Uninstall all Adobe software using your standard operating system commands.

2. Download & run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool:

3. Reboot your computer (don't skip this step).

4. Try reinstalling from the top.

Hope that helps!
