HELP!!!~~~~My picture editing skills are being neglected!! My PC IS NOt working!!~~

I was so excited to try to use this photoshop after the trial, but even the trial I noticed the few times I was able to use photoshop, the render lighting area where you add lighting effects will not load and it shuts the photoshop program down. My laptop can run it; and it is piece of junk too. This PC is running windows 7 Gateway touch.. I had it a few years now. Can someone please help me out and tell me why this won't work? ANy tips?
