help with cs3 on new computer

Hello,

I have just spent over 1 hour on help lines with various Adobe help and sales people.  I purchased my CS3 and have been using it on my computer for many years.  I am a non-professional user and only needed the software every once in a while so the subscription is a waste of money for me -therefor I haven't upgraded.

I just got a new computer with Windows 10 and tried to upload the CS3 to it using your help people and it wouldn't launch.  Please see my case number # 0222517622

I was told by 2 of your help people that I could do an upgrade purchase of CS5 because CS3 wont load to load my computer.  I am willing to pay the upgrade difference.  Then 2 other Adobe help people who I was transferred to told me I could only purchase a subscription - which I am not going to do because as I said I hardly use it and it would be a wast of money for me.

Someone else told me to enter my problem here on the fourm and maybe someone here could either help me to get CS3 to work on my new computer OR do the CS5 upgrade purchase solution.

Please help me!

Thank you!

Kris

    1. There isn't a CS 5 upgrade to purchase.

    2. CS 3 was built for Windows XP and Vista. In the meantime there were Win 7, 8, 8.1, 10, 10 Anniversary update and 10 Creators Update. Some people get it running, some not.

    3. You didn't give any information about error messages or special behavior of your machine during the installation.

    4. May be this link could help: Windows 10 - Installing CS 3 or try install in compatibility mode.
