HI. I had upgraded to Windows 10, but the driver to my printer is not compatible. I reinstalled windows 7, but now my acrobat reader DC doesn't work. I can't even open it!

AND - I can't uninstall it.

I found out that DC is an APP.

Do I really have to upgrade to windows 10 again to uninstall acrobat, and then to install windows 7 again, so that I can print my PDF???

Or is there a quicker solution?

Thank you.

Connie

It continues:

I still could not install Adobe Reader. It kept on writing, that it allready existed on this computer!

Even though it had  removed  the desktop ikon and from control panel!

Then I remembered something I have tried before, but forgotten:

I downloaded "Revo Uninstaller"! Excellent program! It works everytime!

I choose the advaced option and asked it to delete all files from Adobe. It found 1.275 files left!!

It worked!

I could reinstall Adobe Reade,r and I can open my PDF again :-D

Thank you for your answer, John. But it did not work.

Adobe Creative Cloud says that I do not have Creative Cloud on this computer.

My program is called Acrobat Reader DC.

The problem came after the upgrade to Windows 10.

When I try to open it it writes: "The program cannot get started, because MSVCP.dll is missing on this computer. Try to install it again".

But I cannot install it again since it already is there. (I have tried). And I can't uninstall it.

But you just gave me an idea :-D

I searched on Google: Run the acrobat cleaner dc tool -

and something showed up in 404techsupport.com :-D

Here it is: Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

And it removed it!!! Even though it first wrote, that Acrobat Reader did not exist on this computer!

Thank you for your idea :-D

Okay. It continues:

The cleaner did clean it. It didn't show up at the desktop nor in the control panel, BUT!

I still couldn't install a new one, because the installationprogram kept on writing that I already had it on my computer!!!! :-(

I found another solution: I downloaded Revo Uninstaller! Excellent program!!!

I have tried it before and it works everytime. I had forgotten about it.

I found out that there were still remaining 1.275 files left in the system!!!

I chose the advanced solution and then asked it to delete everything that had to do with adobe.

It cleaned it!

And now I could reinstall Adobe Reader DC again and I can now open my PDF :-D
