Hi, can somebody help me with the compatibility of High Sierra ios and version of InDD? I would like to purchase the older version of Creative Cloud or InDesign. Is it possible to get somewhere the 15x from 2020?

1. you can install the latest and 1 version prior versions using the cc desktop app. you must have a subscription because previous versions are not available with trials. other versions are revealed after clicking file preferences>apps>tick show older apps (at panel bottom).

2. for versions cc 2019 and older, use prodesigntools.com*.

3. for versions newer than cc 2019 but older than one previous version, contact adobe support for links**.

* most (but not all) adobe download links are available from prodesigntools.com. https://prodesigntools.com/adobe-direct-download-links.html

follow the directions (esp, step 1)

save the install file. it may not remain online.

thank jim @ prodesigntools.com

** this support is currently not available. ie, there's a significant gap (between 2019 and last year) in the available previous versions.

opposition to this decision (to limit available previous versions) has been conveyed to adobe officials who are therefore aware of the problems caused by this policy. however, unless/until changes are made, nothing can be done to legally access these files.

Adobe sells subscription that is valid for all the versions under the umbrella called CC. Now if you get hold of an installer for an older version you can use it with a valid subscription, there is no such thing as buying an old version. The other thing is as a policy Adobe supports only the current and one previous version so that currently would be CC2024 and CC2023 and you can only donwload these versions from the Creative Cloud Desktop app. Having said that, I suppose your computer would be able to run CC2019 version and you can try and download he installer for it from the following link

https://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cc-2019-direct-download-links.html

This is a legit site providing download from Adobe servers

In addition to all other suggestion you receive:

I know that many users successfully install newer systems on unsupported Macs by using OpenCore Legacy Patcher:

https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher/

In which case you should be able to use the latest InDesign versions.

I personally don't have any experience with this, am not associated with this product, and only post it as a general info which you may or may not find useful. If you want to know more I recommend to check forums on MacRumors.com - there are many active discussions on OCLP there.

I agee with @BobLevine . Adobe wants to sell current versions of software. If you don't want to buy a newer computer to run them, you'll have to look to other products like Affinity Publisher.

You would have to contact Adobe directly but don't count on it. If your computer can't be updated past High Sierra it has to be 10 years or more old. It's time for new hardware.
