Horrible new launcher

Is there any way to get rid of the horrible new launcher, takes up a TON of screen real-estate, on the Mac?  If not, going to cancel my account and switch tools, just can't stand looking at that horrid mess.  (sorry for the dramatic nature of my comments, I just absolulely hate it when a company breaks something good, for no reason.)
