I had previously installed Photoshop on D drive. Later, when D drive was full, I wanted to move all my Adobe files to E drive. It did a problem because I tried to moved them manually. My all adobe apps have problem after that. So I deleted them all (with AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool) and reinstalled them all from scratch on E drive. But Photoshop still sees the old path. I can open my files, but I want to get rid of this path nonsense.

use the cc desktop app to uninstall ps from your e drive

then (using the cc app), install ps on your d drive (to the same problematic path you want to remove)

then using the cc app, uninstall ps from your d drive

finally install ps to the drive you want (e)

I solved my problem already 😄

  • I go to the file
  • Right click and choose "Open with"
  • choose another app
  • find where to your app is
  • and finally "always use this app"

In the begining there did not an option "always use this app". I used this method to solved my problem.

there will be other files left on your computer caused by doing what you did.  whether you notice problems remains to be seen.
