How can I download LR4

Following another query it was suggested, by a specialist on this forum, that I try LR4. They suggested this version as I do not have a new computer. It worked well and I was pleased. This was several weeks ago. The trial period has run out and I would now like to purchase it. However, everytime I follow links they take me LR5. I do not want to download this only to find it doesn't work.

adobe doesn't sell non-current software. you'd have to purchase from a 3rd party vendor.

further, if you have a windows os you probably can use lr 5 although you may need to use compatibility mode to install it.

Thank you for your swift reply. Yes I do have windows on this computer if there any other way to establish whether I can run lightroom 5?
