Ok, so I installed the mac version of Photoshop Elements 11 AGES ago. I wanted to put it on my laptop today but can only find the CD in the sleeve. No serial number, not sure where its gone. I didn't register it with adobe at the time, but registered it today, but the programme is not showing up in my Adobe profile. I have looked at forums claiming that you can find it in the help/system info box - i can't. I also can't find it in the Abode Photoshop window either.  Can someone help?

Unfortunately there is no method I am aware of for getting the serial number from a Mac installation.  With a Windows installation there is the Belarc Advisor that can be used to get serial numbers from installed software but there is no equivalent for Mac that I know of.

You may only have the option of contacting Adobe Support thru chat to see if they are willing to help, which is less likely these days.

Chat support - For the link below click the Still Need Help? option in the blue area at the bottom and choose the chat option...
