How can I get a boxed version of Lightroom 6 to install? It is not working.

I have tried over and over to install my boxed version of LR 6 on my computer.  All requirements are there.  When I click on Setup.exe the little circle spins for a few seconds and then NOTHING!

Furthermore, there is no 24 digit anything on the box or CD sleeve.  What is a redemption code?  They want 24 digits for that and there is no 24 digit number anywhere.

    Mac or Windows, and EXACTLY which version of the operating system?
