How can I get my Photoshop program to open?

I downloaded Photoshop and Lightroom at the same time, both says they are downloaded correctly. My Lightroom opens fine, but my Photoshop program won't open; what can I do to get Photoshop to open? Should I delete the current copy of Photoshop and download it again?

Which OS are you using? Do you see any error message?

Windows 7. No messages, the program locks up my computer and I have to

use Control/Alt/Delete to quit the program. I have removed the program

and am in the process of re-installing it again. We will see how that goes.
