How can I keep my CS apps open and running after restart?

Until today, my CS 5.5 Student and Teacher version has worked like a charm. I had a printer issue this morning and the computer restarted. Now, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Indesign all open briefly and then immediately close. I am desperate for help as I have several projects in the works. I have searched for answers all over the internet but have found no viable solutions.

Try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site.

I apologize for any confusion. This is the first time I have posted to a forum like this. I use a WINDOWS10 HOME operating system (VERSION  1809). The date it was installed was JUNE 13, 2019 although I suspect this was the late of last update since windows 10 was installed a couple of years ago. In case you need it, the OS build is 17763.557.

I have tried opening the program both normally and as the Administrator. I have also noticed that Indesign is closing as soon as it opens. Photoshop and other programs open normally and as expected.

Peru Bob, thank you ,thank you, thank you! I did some research and discovered that my computer had indeed tried to install driver service on the 13th. Under the event tab I saw the following message " Device PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_67DF&SUBSYS_17021028&REV_CF\4&f33159d&0&0019 requires further installation." After a little more research and locating the appropiate driver  on AMD's website, I created a restore point and downloaded the new driver. So far, so good and I am back in business! I can' thank you enough!!!!

When you ask a question you need to provide some basic information

    -Forum quick start https://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-5601

Mac or Windows, and EXACTLY which version of the operating system, and have you recently updated?

Recent Mac AND Windows operating systems have been known to cause "odd" problems

Are you using a computer Administrator account with full read/write permission?
