Question

How can I make Adobe work with two Microsoft accounts?

When I create a new user and a new account in Microsoft Windows, Adobe programs won't launch. I see the startup screen; it freezes for a couple of seconds and then closes. I tried reinstalling the programs, but then they stopped working on the other account as well.

To install software, you need Administrative level permissions on your computer user account.

If this computer is owned by your employer or school, contact your IT dept for assistance.

The first time I use newly installed software, I select Run as Administrator. See screenshot.

    Hope that helps.

The Creative_Cloud_Set-Up file keeps deleting itself from my computer! Stop this!

I can't install programs; the update just keeps going on and on. The Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool didn't help.

    Is the firewall blocking it?
Do the accounts have administrator privileges?

Thanks for posting, @Paul_Gringo  and sorry for the frustrating experience you are encountering.

Before we can recommend specific troubleshooting steps, could you clarify a few details?

    • What Adobe application(s) are you trying to launch?
    • Are you using a paid subscription, a Teams/Enterprise license provided by an organization, or only the free Adobe account?
    • Are you signing into the same Adobe account from both Windows user accounts, or a different Adobe account in each Windows profile?
    • Do you receive any error message when the application closes, or does it simply freeze on the startup screen and then disappear?
    • Which version of Windows are you using?

From your description, it sounds like the apps work under one Windows profile but fail when launched from the second profile. The next troubleshooting steps will depend on whether this is a Creative Cloud subscription, an Enterprise/School account, or a free Adobe account.

Please reply with the information above, including any screenshots of error messages (if shown), and we can help identify the cause. Be sure to remove or obscure any personal information before posting screenshots to this public discussion, @Paul_Gringo.
