How can I reinstall Illustrator CS5

I am working on a 64-bit laptop with Windows 8.1. After downloading the software via Adobe Licensing I unzipped the downloadfile but installing failed. What can I do about this to be succesfull. Herman de Gier.

    Do you have a screen shot of the error message that we can use for reference? Product installation could fail because of following concerns :

    1) Antivirus software working in the back end that could the installer to interrupt the installation procedure.

    2) Some third party services running in the background .

    Please make sure that the AV is off and turn of all the Third party services and try again.

    Well I followed your advice but the same result. Is it possible that IllustratorCS5 is not running onder a win64 environment?
