Thanks Del.  I managed to find another staffer Chetna who helped clear the crashed computers CS3 activation.  It crashed twice in the last two years and I guess both installs used up my 2 use limit although it was really on the same computer.  At any rate all is ok now but thanks for your help too Nelson

You can activate your CS5 (or CS3) license on two computers. If you only activated once on the old computer, you should be able to install it on the new one. If you have already activated on two computers, follow the steps in this document to deactivate one: Learn to activate or deactivate Adobe apps.

If you are unable to access your old computer to deactivate, please Contact Customer Care and ask them to reset your activations. Click the blue "Still Need Help" and select chat or phone. Although Customer Care representatives are unable to provide technical troubleshooting for older programs like CS5, they can answer questions about licensing, including resetting activations.

I'm having the same problem with my CS3 Master Collection (old laptop crashed CS3 not deactivated on it and can't reinstall on new laptop) and I'm finding no phone support to answer my questions.  Seems a close to $5,000 DVD install package should have support even if it is 6 yrs. old.  Very frustrating that they give you the run around and say go to the forums.  Can you give an update as to how you solved your reinstall problem?????  Thanks Nelson
