How can I still download After Effects if my PC cannot handle it?

Ok, so i am a student who really needs this program, my grade depends on it. The school laptop i have been provided does not support After effects and thus wont appear ion my Creative Cloud. However, I was wondering if there was a way i can still get a setup of some sort so that I may place it on my good desktop PC which has no wireless card, and no internet connection. If this is not possible, are there any other programs or anything that allow you to put in other videos or effects such h as explosions into an existing video? Are there any programs similar to after effects that allow me to add special effects?

Chris do you have periodic Internet access? Creative Cloud Memberships require an Internet access to activate and verify your eligibility. Will this computer be able to connect long enough to activate?

I would also recommend verifying that the computer meets or exceeds all of the requirements listed at System requirements | After Effects.
