How can I use my Adobe CS5 licence on my new laptop

Hi,

I bought Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard (student and teacher edition) when I began studying, but the PC that I installed it in is no longer working. My new laptop is a macbook, so how do I get to use my existing subscription on this laptop? I tried downloading the CS5 Design Standard from the Adobe website, but it won't accept my product key saying "This serial number is not valid for this product". So what should I do? I am still a student, so I can't afford to upgrade for Creative Cloud but I dearly need the Adobe products for my masters thesis.

Regards,

Katariina

If your student license is for a Mac version then you should be able to download  CS5.5 and activate it with your serial number.  Your serial number will not work for any other version, so trying to get CS5 working won't get anywhere.  CS5 and CS5.5 are two entirely different releases (5.5 should have been 6)
