How do I confirm that I am a student?

I gave them my school e-mail/id, but I still have an e-mail that says that my card will not be billed until they have proof of my being a student. I'm not sure if they say that for precaution or because they need something filled out.

Who did you give your school e-mail/id too?  It is necessary to submit your proof of eligibility and there is typically a delay for the proof of eligibility to be reviewed.  You can the details regarding the process in the Education FAQ - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/education-faq.html.
