Question

How do I download Adobe to a secondary (case insensitive) Mac OS?

I have a case sensitive Mac OS, so I get an error when trying to download Adobe.  However, I have an alternate partioned drive that is case insensitive (I created it to solve a similar problem with OneDrive).  How do I point my Adobe download to this secondary disc?

Alternately, can I simply access the Adobe Pro DC suite online and skip the download?

Thanks in advance!

Pretty sure it has to be a case independent system disk. Did you put a boot system on that disk?

I have a case independent disk, but when I download Adobe, it seems to get
hung up by the fact that my main disk is case sensitive and I can't find a
way to download it to the case insensitive disk.

Lisa, I am sorry, but Thatsmauri is correct; the operating system itself, which is the same location as the Creative Cloud desktop app, will need to use a non-case sensitive file system. Therefore, you will need to update the file system for the primary drive to a non-case sensitive file system if you wish to use Adobe programs on this computer.

Hi Lisa22240032ebz1,

you can change the install location inside the 'Creative Cloud desktop app' - here's how:

https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/using/change-install-location.html

Please try it out and let us know if it worked 🙂

Kind Regards,
Maurice
