How do I install LR3 from a CD when my new Mac doesn't have a CD player?

I purchased LR3 years ago and it is on a CD.  I then updated in Nov 2015 to LR6 via a download. Both of these were for a Windows computer.

I have now purchased a Macbook Pro and want to instal LR onto it.

How do I install LR3 to the Macbook Pro when the software is on a CD and the Macbook Pro doesn't have a CD player?  Once I have done this, I'm assuming I can re-download LR6 from the Adobe website.

Please help!

Correct answer Ned Murphy

You do not need to install LR3 if your goal is to install version 6.  When you install and activate version 6 you will have the option to choose 3 as the qualifying version.
