How do I reinstall Acrobat 9 Pro (CS4 Design Standard for OS 10.6.8)?

Am trying to reinstall JUST Acrobat 9 Pro for CS4 Design Standard (OS 10.6.8) – DO NOT WANT TO reinstall other suite programs (they are fine and don't want to mess with them). When I insert the cd, the install does not start automatically, so I double-click on the setup icon. When I get to the part where I hit the install button, it says "preparing to install…" but just sits there forever and does nothing. Have tried several times to no avail. Please help : )
