how do I reinstall lightroom on a new PC (says serial number not valid)

Hi

I bought a copy of lightroom 5 about a year ago.

My Hard Disk has just died, so I'm reinstalling onto a new one.

I've downloaded Lightroom 5.5 but when I try to add the serial number (from the original puchase email), it tells me its invalid.

any suggestions?
