How do I unsubscribe from the constant Updates Available notifications?

I'm deluged with regular Updates Available notifications.   I don't need them.   I don't download apps, music, videos, and don't need to install the Adobe software on offer.

I want to unsubscribe from these constant notifications.   How do I do it?

I’m an Apple lady, Jeff, so I don’t have a Windows task manager. Any idea what would be comparabled on an iMac?

These updates don’t arrive via email - they pop up as small dialogue boxes on my screen.

    Cheers,

    Rosalind

Problem solved - using Apple System Preferences.  I found Flash among them, clicked on that, and have now disallowed the updates notifications.

Thanks Jeff - it was your Windows prompt that did it.
