Question

How do you uninstall creative cloud desktop only

Hello,

Apologies if this question has already been asked. Most of the threads i went to were about how to uninstall individual apps only, so.... yeah.

Anyways, the problem I have right now is that I want to uninstall the creative cloud desktop only. I had installed it purely to try out the indesign cc 2014 app and now that my trial has ended I have uninstalled that app and now want to uninstall the creative cloud app.

Main problem is that it tells me that some other apps need the creative cloud app and so it can not be installed. It does not give me any other option other than to click okay.

Before I installed creative cloud and cc, I had some CS6 applications there - this is most probably why I can't uninstall creative cloud desktop.

tldr; How do I uninstall the creative cloud desktop app while still keeping my CS6 apps? The uninstaller only gives me a can't uninstall popup with no additional options. Btw, I would prefer if I could uninstall creative cloud desktop completely as it takes up heaps of space

Thank you for your time

I have Adobe suite that I purchased and licensed before creative cloud existed. Now I can't use the Adobe suite I bought and paid for because creative cloud isn't recognizing my license. It wants me to subscribe to creative cloud. I'm not ready to subscribe to creative cloud. I just want to be able to use the Adobe suite that I purchased and licensed. I feel ripped off!

It no longer recognizes my serial number as legitimate, which of course, it is legitimate. Very frustrating. I'm being ripped off.

Hi DeanRae,

What steps are you taking to uninstall? Are you following these directions: Uninstall the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application? Running the uninstaller for your operating system provided within that help document typically allows successful removal of just the CC Desktop App. You can also try to Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems.

If you have tried this and still receive an error, please post a screenshot of the error message you receive if possible.
