How safe are latest CC updates? (AI 2015.3 breaks plugins)

Question

I have already discovered that AI 2015.3 breaks Astute plugins and you will need to roll back and reinstall the plugins just to carry on using. A warning would have been better.

Before I install any other of these "minor" upgrades I would like to know if they are going to affect any other plugins.

These are dot-release upgrades, and can't be installed alongside an existing version like a full upgrade, so they can't be trialed.

If they are going to affect plugins I don't think Adobe is being at all responsible in releasing them this way. If they are a full upgrade, rather than a dot-release then that is how they should be released.
