How so I download LR 4.2 product update?

I have tried repeatedly to download the product update  lightroom 4.2 without sucess. I have a very good broadband signal, but the connection bogs down with the starting procedure. Eventually I get 42.5k version of Lightroom_4_LS11_win_4_2.exe  which Windows 7 can't open. The file is supposed to be 751MB. My procedure: open LR4, go to help> check for updates>Update 4.2 is available>download>http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5488>Proceed to download>Download Now>Save File> Tell it save in my Downloads folder and then it stalls on starting. Any clues?

    The link mentioned is the right link. Can you try to download the file(from the same link) using another browser and let us know the results?

    Thanks for the suggestion Nikhil. I finally was able to do a live chat with an Adobe tech person, who said the problem was likely do to my anti-virus program. She suggested I disable it temporarily and then download the update. I tried and it went a little further but then stalled again. In a couple weeks I will be in a place with superfast internet and will do it then.

    What seems odd is that Adobe doesn't zip these files or use an installer file program (with a different extension). .exe extensions are notorius for viruses and anti-virus programs thus target them.

    I also found it very hard to reach an Adobe person, the first number I tried, had a 2+ hour wait but said they'd call me back if I scheduled it - never got the call. This page had more available helpers (3o minute wait) plus immediate live chat help. It's here: http://helpx.adobe.com/contact/

    I am having the same problem. I have downloaded it with both Chrome and IE9 with Microsoft Security Essentials turned off and the download makes it to 655 mb and then finishes. Trying to install it gives me an error in extraction and tells me to redownload it. Any ideas?
