Greetings,

Can you outline in one sentence why it is important to use 32-bit or 64-bit?  In my readings, I found the 64-bit version applications has the ability to use much larger address spaces with 64-bit version.  Can you please explain in non technical terminology?  Also, I read that 32 bit handles plug-ins better. Along with, 32-bit versions of these applications will eventually be dropped.

Please advise.

There's plenty of info online

32-Bit vs. 64-Bit | Digital Trends

32 bit vs 64 bit was an important discussion up to about 5 years ago but it's now moot. We now live in a 64 bit world: hardware and software.

Is there anything specific you have in mind in asking this very general question?

Also, I read that 32 bit handles plug-ins better.

Can you provide a link to what you read?

32 bit plugin vendors have two choices with their plugins: update to 64 bit (lot of work) or discontinue them.

You posted in the (CS6 and earlier) Creative Suites forum, where CS6 is over 4 years old and is no longer sold... so ALL support has been ended for those programs

Are you asking about CS6... or the current Creative Cloud programs?
