How to download adobe 10.1

Hello, 

My computer, with adobe reader, was working perfectly until I tried to download a free 30-day trial of adobe pro.  After the second day of the free trial, I was so tired of the continuous pop-up asking if I'd like to continue the trial or buy it, I uninstalled it.  Now, I'm having a hard time reading and/or printing pdf files.  I tried to install adobe 10.1 or whatever the latest one is and it won't let me because it says I have a better version of adobe.  What do I do???  Thank you.
