how to get PS CC and LR 5 to download???

adobe tech support told me to delete PS CC and LR 5 then reinstall them to hopefully fix a problem.  

what do i do to download these again???  

CC window in menubar says both 'up to date' and website download does not work either

    It sounds like the removal process didn't work correctly or something has not updated.

    Did you uninstall Photoshop and Lightroom using their uninstallers? On Windows, this would be in the Programs and Features section of the Control Panel. On Mac, the uninstallers are located in Applications > Untilities > Adobe Installers or within the application folder itself (i.e. Applications > Adobe Photoshop CC). If you simply deleted the application folders to remove these applications, there will still be many remnants left over that give indication that the program is still installed. Try using the Cleaner Tool (http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html) to take away these left over pieces.

    If you uninstalled correctly, there may just be a status update waiting to happen. Try signing out of and back into the Creative Cloud desktop app. Use the gear in the top right corner and choose Properties, click the Account tab, and click the Sign Out button. Then sign back in.

    NO, i did not uninstall them. i drug them to trash.

    using mac os 10.8.5

    thanks!!

    will try the link to clean up the mess i created
