How to install AE CC

I just joined CC. I went to download AE and I get a message:

After Effects is a desktop app so you'll want to download it from your computer.

ok, now what do I do?

I recommend contacting Adobe Technical Support again:

Windows 7.

It wouldn't kick off in Chrome.

In IE, the application manager started but failed.

I was on the chat with customer service but they cut off (not sure why).

Thanks. The first person couldn't help me. Called back later and another person was able to correct the situation.

If anyone else gets stuck...

1. you may need to clean up the original install.

2. Adobe will provide you a special link to run a program in native dos.

3. reinstall from a special link provided from adobe.

will work after this 20 minute effort.
