How to install photoshop elements 10 on mac sierra?

I have had this previously on pc, but I now have a mac. Adobe let's me download this installation file as a mac version. But mac os Sierra won't let me install it due to privacy and safety. There seems to be no way to change the privacy settings to let it install. What would you suggest we try next?

Thank you!

T.

For Mac El Capitan or the newer Sierra operating system read below

-CS6 and earlier programs have not been tested and will not be updated for Mac El Capitan/Sierra

-which means that you try to use CS6 and earlier at YOUR risk of having problems

-you may get CS6 and earlier programs to install and run, or you may not (some do, some don't)

-Java https://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/kb/dreamweaver-java-se-6-runtime.html may help

Install CS5 on Mac 10.11 https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2003455 may help (also for other than CS5)

-also a TEMPORARY security change https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2039319

Hi Tuular39481361,

Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 is an old software it may or may not work with Mac OS Sierra, Adobe has not tested it with the latest operating systems. See, System requirements | Adobe Photoshop Elements.

You may try to follow the troubleshooting steps shared in the following help document and see if that helps:Installing Creative Suite on macOS 10.12 (Sierra).

Let us know if this helps.

Thank you Bani, I tried that. It still says it won't open and suggests asking the developer (adobe) whether there are any updates... :-)
