How to install Photoshop Elements 7 on a new laptop without a disc drive

Question

I had purchased photoshop elements 7 from best buy a while back and had it installed on my pc.  My pc has been broken for a while so I ended up buying a laptop. I can't install the disc on my new laptop because there is no disc drive. I tried downloading it from this site but when I put in my serial number it says it's invalid. Am I going about this wrong? How do I transfer my purchase to a new laptop?

Kristina, PSE 7 is now end of life we have limited resources for the same. Kindly make sure that you check System requirements | Adobe Photoshop Elements before installing PSE 7 on a new machine.

Here is what you can try: Error "The serial number is not valid for this product" | Creative Suite
For installation you can try: Download Photoshop Elements products | 9, 8, 7‌.
