The "older" mac had CS3 working, When switching CS3 was deactivated. Now on both MACs it won't works.

Same thing for ILL CS3.

I don't know if it was an upgrade of CS or CS2

CS2 was an upgrade from CS

CS was an upgrade from ...

... initially bought PS 5.0

I doubt you can get CS3 working on a 10.10 system.  The correct version to use as the qualifying version would be CS2 in your case.

    CS2 cannot be installed on 10.10 - iMac (27-inch, Late 2013) - I tried

CS3 seems the min. version that should works on Yosemite. It was working on my older mac with 10.10 - iMac (24-inch, early 2008).

On this Mac was CS2 initially installed with system 10.6 (or 10.5?) and upgraded tot CS3

I think the problem is that, even after deactivating, the serial stays on the older mac.

Strange thing is that first PS CS3 worked, ILL CS3 not en after a a week or two PS CS3 won't work anymore.

Same thing with Acrobat Pro 9, but this one is successful reinstalled (it wasn't an upgrade). It works now on both mac's with same serials ...

note: since upgrading system there are no (new) programs installed
