How to reinstall after effects and save all plugins and presets?

i dont even know how to call it, but i got really problem with that creative cloud!!! And i overtired to fight with support, which is only "very sorry" and "understand my frustration".

Well, i had a single app subscription. Then i would like to change it to full subscription, but i did not find how to do that, there was no any way in my account to upgrade the subscription. So, i asked support how to do? They answered, that i should just buy new plan and they will remove my previous.

Ok, i did that.

It took about 1.5 month for them to remove my single app plan from my account, all along i ask them every 3 days why they cant do that and always got "our related team will connect with you within 2 days". During 1,5 month.

Finally they removed it. And what do i have now? Now i have that my AE (that one single app which i bought with first subscription) is about to expire. Because my plan removed. As i understand i need to download and install it under my new (current) subscription, because there is no AE in my creative cloud app, but how should i do it and save all my plugins, presets and other scripts and extensions?!

And what should i do? I logged in with my adobe id, why my after affects not changed automatically?

I am VERY disappointed with that creative cloud and i HATE the support, which is just useless. They never help me with any of my issues. Why do Adobe keep all that stuff, just to say "sorry" when customer have problem? Isn't that very expensive "sorry"? When i ask them a question, they tell me that i even do not have any subscription now. Lol

What a mess, I hope this matter was resolved for you eight years ago. Eight years later, currently I cannot even open After Effects 2023 it is so dyfunctional. I have written to an Adobe employee on another thread asking what I should do. It is a very disempowering feeling not being able to work.

All I can say is - migrate to Blackmagic and get rid of all headache. Fantastic technical support, no "cloud" apps, no subscription, plenty of features in free versions of apps, and best of all - all apps can run on almost ANY device.

Thank you, but this is not exactly what i need. I not going to migrate somewhere. I need do re-install same version to the same comp.

What i want to know is will another installation use same destinations?

Will it erase previous program or i will have two of them simultaneously?

If it uses same location, will it delete my installed plugins?

installation of the same version will use the same location and will over-write the previous installation.  it probably won't delete your previous plugins, but to be safe you should use the info at that link to save your plugins.
