I purchased cs6 and a new laptop a few weeks ago from best buy. Computer stopped working due to bad graphics card two weeks later. I contacted asus, and was advised of the issue, and to return the computer for exchange at Best buy. However.. I paid $700 for this software... how can I install it in the new computer? Am I stuck spending another $700 on cs6? best buy says to contact adobe... please advise..

It is not clear  from your posting where you purchased CS6, but whatever the case might be you do not have to repurchase the software.

If the software came with the machine when you bought it, the vendor should be able to provide whatever you need to install.  If you purchased it separately then how you reinstall depends on how you installed to begin with.

If all else fails you can download the trial version of the software thru Adobe (http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/cs6-product-downloads.html) and activate it to full use with your serial number... speaking of which, your serial number is the critical item so you need to make sure you have it.

If you did not deactivate the software on the original machine you will want to contact Adobe by chat or phone to have them deactivate it.

Here is a link to a page with options to help make contact:
