How to reinstall Photoshop

I had an earlier version of photoshop downloaded on my Mac.  I updated photoshop but it must have been too much for the computer to handle because it was not responding as well as the other version.  I uninstalled that version of photoshop on the Mac. Now I want to install the version I used to have but the creative cloud shows that I either need to do a free trial or buy it.  I already paid for an adobe plan, I just want to reinstall the previous version of photoshop I was using.
