How to revert back to a non-cloud legacy Photoshop Lightroom pack?

Hi, how do I revert back to a generic non-cloud version of Photoshop and Lightroom?

I paid for these outright years ago and they worked fine and did what was required for me. I've now been on monthly payment details for years, which started relatively cheaply even though i didn't agree with it,  and its just too cost prohibitive for me now. I'm old, and my Mac is old and can no longer update PS or Lr for some time due to its operating sytem restrictions. I only do a couple of photo jobs a year, and now pricing has gone up yet again the fees literally sap any small money I do make from my work, and I get absolutely nothing for the fees in return.

I would like to revert back to a legacy version that doesn't cost me anything more than I already paid when I bought it. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately time moves on. Adobe no longer sells or supports perpetual licenses most products, and neither Apple nor Adobe supports older computers. If your machine is too old to run the subscription apps, you'll need to look into a newer computer or different software.

Canva now offers the Affinity suite for free, this is professional-grade graphics software that may do everything you need. I'd look into that.

Activation servers for legacy CS1, CS2, CS3, & CS4 are dead.

Even if you still had an old computer that's compatible with legacy software, it's impossible to reactivate those legacy licenses.

Rumor has it that CS5 & CS6 activation servers are still operating, but the success rate appears to be only about 50%.  Too many things have changed since Creative Suite discontinued.

For best results, use supported products on compatible modern equipment.

Most Adobe apps work on these systems, no more than 2 versions back:

  • Windows 11 (64-bit) versions 24H2, 23H2; Windows 10 versions 22H2, 21H2;
  • MacOS 26 (Tahoe), 15 (Sequoia), 14.7 (Sonoma).

@marty_9595

I'm sorry to tell you that Photoshop and Lightroom are only available by subscription and have been since 2013. Adobe offers the current and one previous version, so perpetual versions are no longer available.

There is a Lightroom Classic, but it is only available with one of three plans, not as a stand-alone purchase.
