HI all,

I want to cease the auto checking of updates to Photoshop CC 2018 and others in Adobe Creative Cloud 4.7.0.400.

Any help will be appreciated.

Cheers!

You can disable the updates by creating a file "AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat" like described here :

As you an see the check box for "Always keep Creative Cloud desktop up to date" is NOT checked and I STILL receive updates for Photoshop etc...

People keep telling me to disable the updates by creating a file "AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat". This DOES NOT work. How can I stop receiving app updates, please someone must know something.

Thank you in advance.

That seems to be how Adobe say that you do it. Where do you put the file, exactly? And what do you put in it (please copy and paste). Please say what app you used to create it and the save options used.

You can turn off Acrobat auto updates by going to Preferences -> Updater and then unchecking auto update

Thanks Axel but you clearly don't know what your talking about. You have just reposted something that is not even relevant to me. Adobe Creative Cloud Packager requires an Enterprise account which I do not have. if I had an Enterprise account I wouldn't be here asking this question.

I already know what I'm talking about. Do you have read kglad's first answer?

use your preferences (3 dots at upper right > preferences > general > untick 'always keep cc desktop up to data') if you don't want to automatically update the cc desktop app.
