How to uninstall previous version of Acrobat

I am trying Acrobat X pro free trial version. However, setup could not be completed as there was a message that setup cannot uninstall Acobat 9 Pro previously installed. I have tried a number of uninstallers but had no success. Some of the app could not even detect the existing patch of the remaining Acobat 9.
