What do I need to do to re-install Lightoom? software and saved files.  Do I need anything from Adobe confirming prior purchase?

As far as I know, serial number versions of Adobe programs purchased by download or single platform only... your PC serial number version will not work with the Mac version

SOME programs (Photoshop Elements, I think) purchased in a box include both installers and a common serial number

I have no idea if files are platform independent... you should ask in the Lightroom forum

If you will start at the Forums Index https://forums.adobe.com/welcome

You will be able to select a forum for the specific Adobe product(s) you use

Click the "down arrow" symbol on the right (where it says All communities) to open the drop down list and scroll

Whee I checked my order I realized it was a Mac/Win license so I was able to dowload the software.  I will check the Lightroom forum regarding the files. Thanks for the suggestion.

Which version of Lightroom?

If Cloud, you simply sign in to your Adobe account on the new computer and install

If disc, you can't shove a pizza into a toaster made for bread... in other words, your PC version will not install in a Mac

I know that the PC version won't work.  I was wondering if I was able to download again for Mac without buying the software a second time.  Also, are the saved files on my PC compatible for the Mac version?

It is Lightroom 5.7 64 bits
