I am facing difficulties with Photoshop CS2
Post #76 from Jeff indicates that "All of the installation files are available within the 3 files which are being offered for the English language Windows users the file names are as follows:"
I will take that at face value and assume that I am getting the full features that were available in the CS2 Premium that we originally purchased since the instruction document is actually from 2005. My wife is the digital imager/photographer. I'm the computer guy husband stuck rebuilding her 64 bit Windows 7 computer that had to be recovered back to the "out of the box" image last night.
So I extracted all of the files. Adjusted the destination for the Disk 2 extraction so it would match disk 1 and 3, dealt with the use of "progra~2" in the installation destination and it seemed like everything went correctly. The installation and registration all completed.
When I open PhotoShop I get a dialog box with the error message "Program was unable to load the necessary component and it's going to terminate. Please reinstall your software." I click OK and it continues into PhotoShop. I am able to open and edit psd files. I don't know what program is not loading which component and I don't want to just ignore it.
It just shakes my confidence and I am concerned that when my wife who actually knows what she is doing and utilizes the more advanced capabilities uses it she is going to find a problem. She's also not going to like seeing that error every time she opens PhotoShop either.
Is this error message something I need to be concerned with
