I am receiving a download error when I try to install an app through the Creative Cloud hub.

"Download Error. Unable to reach Adobe servers. Please check your internet connectivity, firewall settings, and then try again. (12175)"

Needless to say, none of these steps do any good, and the error continues to appear. I have searched through the forums here for a solution, but interestingly, no-one who has had a similar question has ever been offered a solution, as far as I can see. Or am I wrong? Please prove me wrong!

Hello Jeff,

Ah, removing references to activate.adobe.com in the hosts file seems to have worked, and I am now downloading the apps.

I am using this forum and question to thank the ADOBE support person for all the help he gave me solving my installation and launching problem.  His name is Rahman.  He was especially patient and very knowledgeable.  Thank you again Rahman!  If any other forum user know where I can send ADOBE a message about Rahman,  I would appreciate it.    Susan

Susand6719790 thank you very much for the kind words for Rahman!  So that I can pass on the feedback properly can you confirm that the case number for the interaction was 0186419915?

Hi Jeff,

I don't know if the case number is 0186419915.  How do I tell? Or can I tell now?   I am very new at using Adobe Elements and help.  Rahman used CONNECT to take over my computer and fix the problem.  He did a wonderful job and explained things exceptionally well with extreme patience.   Susan

Barrywbaker have you had an opportunity to review and implement the steps listed in Error downloading and installing Creative Cloud application?  If so then what specific error messages are you able to locate within the download log which corresponds to the time period of the message in your post?
