I am receiving a message saying Installer has detected that a machine restart may be pending and is recommending I quit installer and restart my machine. I have done this 4 times and tried installing over and over but keep getting the same message.

I am receiving a message saying Installer has detected that a machine restart may be pending and is recommending I quit installer and restart my machine.  I have done this 4 times and tried installing over and over but keep getting the same message.  Please help!!!!

    I had the same problem with PSE 18 and Premier 18 -- did the restart and retried PSE 18, which seemed to work. The tried Premier 18, and got the same error!  Clicked "Ignore" and it seems to have worked.  After several YEARS with the same error, I would think that Adobe would have solved the problem!!

    Except the program then STOPS WORKING even after successfully installing and won't run. UNTIL the Adobe tech reset my Winsock using the Command prompt. Then I IGNORED the restart error message and installed and the program runs fine.
