I am unable to install Illustrator. Installation fails with errors DF)24, 027, 036, and 063.

I have tried changing owners and permissions. Any other suggestions?

Certain folders within Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat and Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Acrobat had to have their permissions changed individually and I had to change ownerships first. However, the folder Common Files\Acrobat\WCIEActiveX\ will not let me change it's Permissions or its owner. I moved it to the destop and tried reinstalling Illustrator. It failed again, as below:

DSharbaugh if you are unable to resolve the permission errors under your current User account then please try with a different User account.  You can either enable and use the default administrator account or create a new local administrator account.  You can find information on utilizing the default administrator account at http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-security/how-do-i-enable-the-built-in-administrator-account/67922948-62b9-4ac0-ba1f-12e9454d231b.

Try with different User account in my case does not solve problem (ERROR: DF024). My solution : disable the antivirus (Avast in my case).

Hi,

Can you rename the following folders:

- "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CC" to some thing like --Adobe Illustrator CC

- "ERROR: DF036: File already present at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Color\Profiles" to something like --Profiles

and now try to install again?
