Question

I am unable to launch the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application or Adobe Applications Manager without receiving an error message.

I get this error message upon attempting to launch: "Adobe Application Manager is needed to resolve this problem. However, it is missing or damaged. Please download and install a new copy of the Application Manager from 'http://www.adobe.com/go/applicationmanager'." I get this same error message when I try to install the application manager. This error is preventing me from updating  Lightroom. It has been a persistent error for several months. I have a older macbook with the latest Yosemite updates.

Thanks Sheena,

As noted in my original question however, I already tried that. I get the following error message.

Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued, so that recommendation was of no help.

Since all of the adobe creative applications are tied though CC desktop now, I can't update any of my apps or download new apps. I am hoping to get illustrator soon, however I can't until this is resolved. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

James
