I bought After Effects outright.... but

I paid good money for After Effects but every time I start my computer It tells me my trial has so many days. I registered the program when I bought it and I want to work off line, but it insists on being online. WHY?  I have homework I have to get done tonight!!!

Can anyone let me know why? I can't use it when I need to without all of this trouble.
